New Delhi: In view of the rising corona case, the Punjab, Puducherry administration has issued an order to keep all schools from Class I to VIII closed from March 22 to March 31. A communique issued by the director of school education PT Rudra Gaur said that the decision has been taken in view of the increasing cases of corona infection. He said the order will apply to all schools affiliated with the state board, CBSE and ICSE. The Tamil Nadu government has issued an order that schools should be closed for classes IX, X, and XI from 22nd March till further orders. Orders for re-closure of schools have also been issued in eight districts of Gujarat. However, in Tamil Nadu, schools will remain open for class XII students so that they can give board exams. Issuing a notification of BANDH, the government said that the Director, public health and disease detention has recommended that classes of IX, X, and XI should not continue from a health point of view as corona cases are increasing. The director said that class XII students can be allowed to go to school as their number will be low and they have to give board examinations. He said that the 12th students will have to strictly adhere to the measures by putting masks and maintaining social dissing.
