CHENNAI: The police department was left in a tizzy when four ATMs were looted by thieves in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannamalai district on Saturday (February 11) night. Two ATMs in the town near Kalaspakkam and Polur railway stations were looted. Police say that the miscreants may have looted a total of Rs 89 lakh. Police teams along with forensic experts are trying to get fingerprints and CCTV footage from the spot, which is proving difficult as the miscreants had also set ATM machines on fire. Out of the 4 looted ATMs, 3 are of SBI and all of them are located on the Cuddalore-Chittoor road. Let us tell you that, this month, the miscreant breaking the bank ATM in Burari, New Delhi, tried to run away after seeing the police officer. But, showing courage, the SHO of Burari police station nabbed the miscreant. During this, the SHO also got injured, yet the policeman did not let the miscreant escape.
