Kanker: Police have arrested an assistant manager of a private bank in connection with a rape case in Chhattisgarh's Kanker. He has been identified as Ratnesh Sharma. It is alleged that he raped a girl on the pretext of marriage. The police have sent the culprit to jail.
Kotwali police station in-charge Sharad Dubey said that a complaint was lodged by a girl from the Kanker police station area. In this, she told that the assistant manager of a private bank raped her on the pretext of marriage. Not only that, but he also made a video of it. He raped her several times by blackmailing her through this video. Subsequently, the victim lodged a complaint with the Kotwali police. On the basis of the victim's complaint, the police registered a case against the culprit and arrested him.
Last month, a married woman working in a bank in Dongargarh accused her colleague of forcibly having physical relations with her. The girl had told the police that the culprit threatened to defame her if she told anyone. Then again and again he started pressuring her to have physical relations. The victim said she had to go out of the office work with her colleague. It was night on her way back home and she was raped taking advantage of the deserted forest. After that, he blackmailed her for several months and forced her to have a relationship. Upset with this harassment, the girl told her husband and family about the culprit and lodged a case at the police station.
