The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government had proposed to call a meeting of the MCD House on February 13 or 14, but on February 13, the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the matter, due to which the Kejriwal government and the MCD will be elected mayor for the fourth time on February 16. , Deputy Mayor and Standing Committee agreed to hold elections and sent this proposal to LG. Now the Lieutenant Governor has given the green signal to this proposal.

Whenever a meeting of the House is called for the election of the Mayor, there is an uproar and the proceedings are adjourned.
