The official debut of Tata Motors' Nexon electric SUV will be on December 16 next month. Tata Motors has released another teaser video before the electric Nexon SUV was introduced. This teaser video is of the final stage of testing Nexon Electric. The video shows new alloy wheels in this electric SUV. With this, many more details of Nexon Electric have surfaced. According to reports, the electric Nexon will be the first car from Tata Motors to come with connected-car technology. Connected feature like Hyundai Venue - According to reports, the Electric Nexon can come with more than 30 connected features. These will include location-based services, vital statistics related to vehicles, alerts and notifications and safety and security features. For now, it remains to be seen whether Nexon Electric offers remote start / stop and climate control functions like Venue. Also, whether or not these features are released in ICE Nexon. 300 km range in single charge - Electric Nexon will use Tata Motors' new Ziptron powertrain technology, using permanent AC motors. This electric vehicle takes power from an IP67 rated liquid-cooled battery, which is both waterproof and dustproof. Tata Motors claims that the battery pack has been tested for up to 1 million kilometers. In addition, it has an 8-year standard warranty. Also, the battery supports fast charging. The company claims that advanced lithium-ion batteries in a single charge can offer a range of around 300 km. Currently, Tata Motors has 85 chargers in 13 cities and the company wants to increase it to 300. Electric Nexon can be priced between 15-17 lakhs - With this, Tata Motors is also working on the facelifted Nexon. The facelift Nexon can be seen in 8-spoke alloy wheels. The facelifted Nexon draws the instrument cluster and steering wheel from the Altroz hatchback. In facelift version of Nexon, 1.2 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engines can be upgraded according to BS6 Norms. Tata Nexon Electric could be introduced in the Indian market in the last quarter of 2020. The electric Nexon's ex-showroom price can be between Rs 15-17 lakh.
