Today, Tata Motors has announced that it has added two new AMT variants to its popular sub-compact sedan Tata Tigor. Now, in addition to the existing XZA, the Tigor sedan also includes a mid-level automatic XMA option and a top-of-the-line XZA+ variant. All variants except the base model XE are also available in the option of automatic variants of Tata Tigor. The XMA and XZA+ variants are priced at Rs 6.39 lakh and Rs 7.24 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The 1199cc, three-cylinder petrol engine produces 84bhp and 112Nm of torque and comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox with an optional AMT unit. The diesel variant features are powered by a 1.05-liter Revotorq 3-cylinder oil burner producing 69bhp and 140Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a standard 5-speed manual unit. However, Tata Motors has earlier announced that it will not manufacture smaller diesel engines with BS-6. For your information, the new XZA+ based on XZ+ variants features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Harman's 8-speaker sound.
