Kl Rahul ruled out of Test series against New Zealand

New Delhi: Team India has suffered a major setback ahead of the Test against New Zealand in Kanpur. Indian opener KL Rahul has been ruled out of the entire series due to injury. Suryakumar Yadav has been included in the squad in place of KL Rahul. According to information provided by BCCI, KL Rahul has a muscle strain in his left thigh, which has led to his exit from the entire Test series. Suryakumar Yadav has been included in the squad in place of KL Rahul.

KL Rahul has been rested after which he will practice in NCA and be fit for the tour of South Africa starting next month. This year has been a great year for Suryakumar Yadav, his T20 and ODI debuts were also made in 2021. And by the end of the year, he also found a place in the Test team. However, whether he will get a place in the final XI in Kanpur or not will have to wait.
