As the unlock phases get underway across the state of Karnataka, the Kannada Film Industry too gathers itself to resume work. Over the past few days, a number of projects that were put on hold due to the lockdown have hit the strides, hoping to wrap things up at the earliest. In the same spirit, the makers of 'Kabzaa', the upcoming period gangster picture starring Upendra, are currently engrossed in getting things started and have already begun on the extensive set work that the film warrants. Director R Chandru, for whom 'Kabzaa' is most likely the toughest and grandest of conceptions, took to social media earlier today (23rd June) to announce the plan of action. Stating that since a majority of the film is going to be shot amidst newly-erected set pieces, the team is currently in the process of getting them ready before they commence shooting. "We plan to start shooting again from the coming week onwards," revealed R Chandru through his tweet. 'Kabzaa's shooting began in the month of February, 2021 which came to a sudden halt due to the second wave of the pandemic. The film is touted to be the biggest of releases in Kannada and has been mounted as a pan-Indian film with at least four other languages as part of the release strategy. Apart from Upendra, the film's principal cast also includes veterans Boman Irani, Jagapathi Babu, Kota Srinivas Rao, and the young actor Kabir Duhan Singh while the film's leading lady still remains a mystery. As one of the main highlights of the film, Kichcha Sudeep will play a crucial role in the film as Bhargav Bakshi. 'Kabzaa' has been produced by R. Chandrashekar with Ravi Basrur composing the film's music and AJ Shetty handling the cinematography.
