The first look of 'Beast' was released on Monday ahead of Vijay's 47th birthday. Now, the latest report making rounds is that Vijay's 'Beast' and Nelson's shelved film with Silambarasan have a connection.

Nelson would have made his debut long back, but his first film with Silambarasan was shelved after completing half of the work. The film titled 'Vettai Mannan' also had a first look poster featuring Silambarasan, and the actor was spotted with a shotgun. Now, Vijay was also spotted with a spot gun in the 'Beast' first look poster. Also, this raises speculation that 'Vettai Mannan' and 'Beast' are the same kind of films with similar storylines. However, fans have to wait and watch whether both films have a connection.

Two posters of 'Beast' have been released by the makers, and the first look poster shared by Vijay on his Twitter page has crossed 285K likes to become the fastest to achieve the feat. Also, the fans have recorded 3.5 million tweets under the hashtag #Beast, and it turned into the top most hashtag trend for a movie title announcement in Kollywood.
