The Telangana cabinet on Saturday condemned the Andhra government over the "Illegal project" on the Krishna river. Condemning, he said, the orders given by the NGT and the Centre have not been taken care of. Due to this, the people there suffered a lot. Under which the Telangana Cabinet on Saturday decided to launch a public campaign. A statement issued by the CM's office (CMO) said that the projects will cause huge losses to the irrigation sector in the state. Irrigation Department officials informed the State Government of Telangana that they have already contacted the National Green Tribunal in the case of illegal Andhra Pradesh projects and the cases have also been filed in the Supreme Court. The state government has decided to construct Jogulamba barrage in Alampur area to provide proper share of krishna river water to the state amidst the crisis in Hyderabad city. The Council of Ministers has also decided to construct pulichintala left canal at Suryapet in Nalgonda district and supply water to 2 lakh acres. It has also been decided to launch a public campaign on the huge loss to irrigation sector in the state due to illegal projects in Andhra Pradesh. Besides laying down a solution on the krishna river water portion, the Telangana government has allowed construction of three new super speciality hospitals under the jurisdiction of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
