The Telangana government will deduct 75 percent of the salary of public representatives, 60 percent of All India Service Officers, 50 percent of state government employees and 25 percent of pension for May. There will be a 10 per cent salary cut for outsourcing and contract workers. The government has also decided not to pay 1,500 cash to families below the poverty line.

A statement from the CM office said that given the relaxation in lockdown, laborers and workers will get daily work, cash assistance will not be provided from May. However, supply of 12 kg of free rice will continue in May. The government has also decided to pay social security pension without any change. Chandra Shekhar Rao, CM of the state, said that the state should get an income of 12,000 crores per month but it has stopped due to lockdown.
