Telangana schools have created new records in the gross enrolment ratio

Breaking all the concepts that the educational standards in government schools are not very low, students move to primary schools across Telangana and create new enrolment records. This year's gross enrolment ratio (GER) is 98.4 per cent, with 30,52,115 entries, according to Telangana State Statistical Abstract 2020.

According to statistics, from 2018-19, the districts including Ranga Reddy, Nagapattinam-Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, Adilabad, Sangam, Narayanapeta, Komaram Bhim Asifabad and Jogulamba Garhwal have more than 100 per cent GER in primary schools. This is because students migrate to these districts from other states or other districts.

There are 8,81,429 children in 2,885 schools in Hyderabad, and 306 children per school. Similarly, out of 1,855 schools in Theni-Malkajgiri district, 5,67,717 enrolled with 306 children, ranga reddy district has 232 children and total enrolment is 6,30,029 in 2,711 schools. Across the state, 40,597 schools with 60,15,597 entries, the number of children per school is 148.
