Telangana : Vanama Raghavendra Rao, the son of TRS Kothagudem MLA Vanama Venkateshwar Rao, was arrested on Saturday in connection with an abetment to suicide case, police said. Vanama Raghavendra was apprehended by police in Andhra Pradesh's Chintalapudi district and transported to Kothagudem. After four members of a family died as a result of burn injuries, Raghavendra was arrested and charged under sections 302, 306, and 307 of the Indian Penal Code. Mandiga Naga Rama Krishna poured fuel on his wife Mandiga Sri Laxmi, two daughters - Sai Sahitya and Mandiga Sai Sahithi - and himself, according to ASP Rohit Raju, and set himself ablaze. According to ASP Raju, Rama Krishna claimed in a video before his death that he had a property issue with Rao and that the latter had asked him to send his wife to settle the matter. On January 3, Rama Krishna, Sri Laxmi, and Sai Sahitya died of burn injuries, while Sai Sahithi died on January 5 at around 6 p.m., with 80% burn injuries. As a result, the police initiated a manhunt to apprehend Rao. Rao was apprehended at Mandalapalli on Friday night. Today, the accused will be brought before the court.
