Protesters and officers clash outside Brockton Police headquarters

A chaotic scene ensued outside the police station Tuesday night, where hundreds of protesters rallied at a middle school in a turbulent protest and rallied at several points to name "George Floyd", a Minneapolis police officer lay on his neck for 9 minutes, due to which he died. Hundreds of protesters staged a strong protest on Center Street in front of the police station against the vandalism of the police. After which the police set up a perimeter around the station and started repelling the protesters. Also tear gas shells were fired.

In addition, pepper spray was hit on the face. So that somehow the protest can be controlled. The violence started at 8:30 pm, about an hour after the rally ended at West Middle School. Darren Duterte, a Brockton police spokesman, said a group of people left the rally and headed to City Hall.

The spokesperson of the department, David Prakapiyo, said that the state police sent troops to assist the local police after the protesters threw bottles and crackers. In protest, people broke windows and fought on the road. Police made a line under a railway overpass on Center Street. By 9:45, the protesters on Center Street faced the police, as the police were carefully confronting the scattered protesters.
