Bangalore: Controversial journalist Rana Ayyub has landed in trouble by calling Hindu students terrorists over the Karnataka hijab controversy. An FIR has been lodged against her by the Hubli-Dharwad police in Karnataka for calling students waving saffron flags at Udupi College as terrorists. Earlier, Rana Ayyub's account was frozen by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for allegedly misappropriating her by raising Rs 1.77 crore through a keto fundraising campaign. On February 13, 2022, amidst the ongoing controversy over the hijab in Karnataka, Rana Ayyub, in an interview, had described college students in Udupi as terrorists. After this, on February 21, 2022, the Hindu organization 'Hindu IT Cell' had filed a complaint against Rana Ayyub. In the interview, Rana Ayyub had called Hindu students protesting against the burqa in educational institutions as terrorists. Ayyub had said, "...why is there a group of young Hindus who are suddenly keeping watch - for that matter Hindu terrorists who are waving saffron flags in the educational complex in Karnataka?" During the interview, Rana asked, "Why are male students waving saffron flags in an educational institution? What does that mean?'' This video of Rana Ayyub spreading hatred towards Hindus is going viral on social media. The Hindu IT cell then filed a complaint seeking action against Rana Ayyub. The Hindu IT cell had urged the police to book anti-India Rana Ayyub under several other sections including sections 124A (sedition), 153A (creating enmity and division), 295A, 298 (intentional and malicious attempt to hurt religious sentiments) and 504 (intentional insult to the Hindu community) of the IPC. Let us know that the controversial journalist Rana Ayyub, who spread lies on foreign platforms, was also in the news for committing economic fraud in her own country. Recently, assets worth Rs 1.77 crore were seized by the ED. She had allegedly raised all this money in the name of collecting funds on keto. But, without using all the money, Ayyub kept that money in her account. When the controversy escalated, Ayyub had declared herself innocent. 21 Indians stranded in Black Sea amid Russo-Ukraine war Train full of passengers caught fire, chaos PM Modi played Lord Shiva's favourite Damru in Kashi, video went viral
