Tesla Motors received invitation from Maharashtra to set up a factory

Tesla motors who is constantly trying to enter India has been invited by the India's richest state Maharashtra. Elon Musk who said he will enter India in 2021 was planning to setup TeslaIndia's first Research and Development center in Bengaluru. Now, he has received an invitation from the Maharashtra Industries minister. Tesla motors is eyeing on the Indian market from a long time since Modi's visit to Tesla factory in 2014.

The Maharashtra state  tourism and environment minister Aaditya Thackeray tweeted he and industries minister Subhash Desai held a video call with Tesla executives to invite them to the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is increasingly focusing the promotion to the use of electric vehicles, Elon Musk has replied "Next year for sure" on Twitter to a post with a photograph of a T-shirt with the message: "India wants Tesla" and it confirms the Tesla's entry into one of the largest economies in the world. 

Audi e-Tron Electric may launch in India in 2021

The Karnataka government executives has met the Tesla executives in the month of September expecting its first R&D to be set up in Karnataka thereby creating jobs in the state. Tesla motors is also interested to set up a gigafactory, a manufacturing unit for solar panels and batteries in Bengaluru. The electric car has already entered the Chinese market in January 2020 and first set of Production was over and successfully launched in the market.
