The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is soon to launch in this Indian metro city

The Chetak electric scooter from Bajaj Auto is slowly but gradually expanding its market share in India. While the scooter is now accessible in several major Indian cities, such as Pune and Bengaluru, it is not yet available in others. The company has now included Mumbai to its official website, implying that the actual launch might take place shortly.

Although, at this time, electric scooter bookings are not available. According to the company's official website, the electric scooter will be available at two locations: KTM Andheri and KTM Vasai. However, the corporation has established a window for potential clients to express their interest.

The Urbane and Premium versions of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter are now available. A 3.8kW motor is powered by a non-removable 3kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery pack in both models. According to the manufacturer, the scooter can reach a peak speed of 70 kmph and has a range of 95 km (in Eco mode).

Chetak electric scooters will be available in 22 new Indian cities by 2022, according to the company.In the meanwhile, the company is planning to add another electric scooter to its lineup. A new battery-powered scooter from Bajaj Auto was recently seen. In addition, the Pulsar manufacturer has announced a $300 million (USD $40 million) investment in a new electric car facility in Akurdi (Pune). This plant will be able to produce 500,000 electric vehicles each year.
