With China and UK, threat of Deltacron increased in India too, govt alerted

New Delhi: In China and Britain, the corona has once again shown up. While China has imposed lockdown in many of its cities in view of the rising cases of the corona, the UK has seen a 77 per cent increase in coronavirus cases in the last 7 days. In view of the rising cases of Corona in countries across the world, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday held a high-level meeting with health ministry officials. In the wake of the meeting, the Health Minister has asked to keep an eye on the new Deltacron variant of Corona and to keep an eye on the impact caused by it.

In a meeting with officials of the Health Ministry, the Union Health Minister once again stressed increasing testing and surveillance at international travel points i.e. airports and ports. In view of the increasing cases of Corona in many countries around the world, genome sequencing of corona infected patients in India has been asked to be done so that it can be found out whether any new variant of the corona has come into the country or not. Let us know that in China and many countries of Europe, the cases of Deltacron the new variant of Corona, are seen increasing.

The same UK's Daily Dashboard data showed that 1,09,802 more people have been found to be corona infected in the UK, a jump of 77.4 per cent in a week. However, the figures also include 4 days of infection figures from Scotland, where cases are on the rise. That's why a former World Health Organization official has warned that the sub-variant of the omicron is just as contagious as measles. As a result, people admitted to hospitals have seen a 12.7 per cent increase in week-on-week, but the deaths due to the daily virus have dropped by 5.7 per cent to 200. The rise in cases has been recorded as BA.2, which is now responsible for most of the Covid cases in the UK.
