Thee delta plus variant virus reached to 12 states, the highest number of cases found in Maharashtra

New Delhi: 48 cases of Delta Plus variant have been found in 11 states of the country amid corona crisis. The government said that the spread of 21 cases identified from Maharashtra is highly localized. Maharashtra has reported the highest number of corona virus cases so far. Dr. Balram Bhargava, Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has informed that Delta Plus is present in 12 countries.

More than 45,000 samples collected so far in the same country have revealed these 51 cases. National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Director Sujit Singh said that 22 cases of Delta Plus edition have been found in Maharashtra, followed by nine cases in Tamil Nadu, seven in Madhya Pradesh, three in Kerala, two each in Punjab and Gujarat. There are one case each in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and Karnataka. The Health Ministry on Friday asked these states to take immediate steps to prevent congestion in specific cities, prevent ingertinteraction of people, comprehensive testing, early tracing as well as immunization coverage.

Apart from Maharashtra, this new variant has also been found in many other states. These include Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Rajasthan and Karnataka.
