At the same time, fresh snowfall has occurred in many parts of Kashmir including Srinagar. The Meteorological Ministry said that Machil and Z-Gali areas of Kupwara district received snowfall of between one foot to 18 inches. Snowfall started up to 7 inches in Gulmarg, Baramulla, and Sonmarg. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the disturbance, light rain may occur in some areas of northern Uttarakhand as well as snowfall is also affected. Giving more information about the weather, IMD Additional Director Anand Sharma said yesterday's temperature in Delhi was 8 degrees above normal and the maximum temperature has reached 33.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Delhi and surrounding areas of northwest India is 5 to 6 degrees above normal. With this, he said that due to western disturbance, in the coming days it is expected that a slight drop in temperature is expected around 1 and 2 March. After that, the wind direction has changed and the northwest winds can move from the mountains, which may reduce the temperature slightly.
