Crooks tried to deposit 500 fake notes in bank

Buldhana: Police have arrested two persons who had deposited fake Rs 500 notes in HDFC Bank in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra. In fact, the cashier of HDFC Bank had lodged a case at the Malkapur police station. According to this, a person named Irfan Patni along with another person had come to deposit more than 1 lakh in the account of Bohra Industrial Oil.

When the cashier of the same bank put these notes in the sorting machine, it was found that all these notes were fake. Of the notes deposited by the person in the bank, 38 notes of 500-500 denominations were found to be fake. The cashier immediately lodged a complaint with the police and at present, the police have arrested Irfan Patni and one of his associates in the incident. And further investigations are being carried out. Police officer Vijay Singh Rajput said the two arrested persons are being interrogated. Soon it will be ascertained where these fake notes came from.

Earlier in January 2022, the Delhi Police Special Cell had seized a large consignment of fake currency notes. Around 3 lakh fake notes of Rs 500 denomination were seized from the offender. This gang of fake notes gang was arrested from Bihar. According to officials, the fake notes found in other parts of the country, including Delhi, are printed in Pakistan. The fake notes were being supplied through the Indo-Nepal border.
