The newest grand tourer model from Aston Martin the DB12 has been unveiled for international markets

UK: The newest grand tourer model from venerable British automaker Aston Martin, the DB12, has been unveiled for international markets. The coupe is the DB11 supercar's immediate replacement.

The car replaces the legendary V12 engine with a V8 engine from Mercedes-AMG, but it still has more power than the DB11. Here are some of the flagship coupe's best attributes.

The DB12 is Aston Martin's "super tourer" and the iconic DB5 model's spiritual successor. While adhering to the company's contemporary design ethos, the coupe draws inspiration from the grand tourer of the 1960s.

It marks the beginning of a new era for the business and aims to become the standard for high-performance coupe performance, ultra-luxury, and style.

The Aston Martin DB12 maintains the exterior design language of the DB ranges. It features a protracted clamshell hood, a sizable signature grille, a noticeable front splitter, sweptback projector LED headlights with crystalline-effect DRLs, swan doors with frameless windows, flared wheel arches, and 21-inch forged alloy wheels. At the rear, there are sleek C-shaped LED taillights and a sizable diffuser.

The Aston Martin DB12's interior features a sporty, dual-tone interior with top-quality leather upholstery. Bucket seats in the racing-style are available, as are a floating centre console with carbon fibre accents, metallic switches and dials with knurled edges, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters.A fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.3-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, and a premium Bowers & Wilkins audio system are also included.

The 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that powers the Aston Martin DB12 is sourced from Mercedes-AMG and is coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with an electronic rear differential. The mill produces a peak torque of 800Nm between 2,750 and 6,000 rpm and a maximum power of 671hp at 6,000 rpm.
