Los Angeles: The Predator is back in the new film PREY, which will be released on Hulu in the summer of 2022. The new action-thriller was announced on Friday during Disney Plus Day, a birthday celebration in which Disney, the parent company of Hulu, teased upcoming Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar films and TV shows. Prey will be available to stream next year alongside other Hulu films such as No Exit, The Princess, and Rosaline. PREY is set in 1719 and follows Naru, a fearless young Native American woman on a quest to show her worth as a warrior, which leads her to meet the notorious movie monster on a new hunt. According to previous rumours, the next Predator picture was being produced under the moniker Skulls by Dan Trachtenberg, the director of 10 Cloverfield Lane. The Predator franchise began with a wonderfully muscular 1987 action film featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Since then, there have been a number of sequels and cross-overs (of variable quality), the most recent of which was The Predator in 2018. Hopefully, Hulu will enable Prey to have the same degree of violence and gore as previous films. No Exit, the rest of Hulu's slate, is based on Taylor Adams' 2019 novel. Rosaline is a modern take on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, centred on Romeo's ex-girlfriend Rosaline. The Princess is described by Disney as "Sleeping Beauty meets John Wick."
