The COP26 President said that "a short informal plenary meeting in the morning" on Saturday will be held. Negotiators from almost 200 countries and territories are working overtime to reach an agreement on climate change. Sharma cancelled a press conference on Friday afternoon as the talks came down to the wire.

Originally, the two-week COP26 was supposed to expire on Friday. Developed countries are being pushed to go beyond lip service when it comes to combating climate change. Poor countries urged wealthy countries to keep their promises of financial aid to the developing world in the battle against climate change.
