New Delhi: 6,531 new cases of corona virus have been registered in the country in the last 24 hours. During this time 7,141 have recovered from corona. On the other hand, the number of patients infected with new and deadly Omicron variants of corona virus has increased to 578. This information was given by the Union Health Ministry in the updated data at 8 am. The number of active corona cases in the country is 75,841 and thus the recovery rate has increased to 98.40 per cent. The highest number of cases of new Omicron variants of Corona have been registered from the capital, Delhi, where the number of Omicron infected has reached 142. In Kerala, the number of patients infected with the new variant has gone up to 57 after 19 more people were infected with the omicron variant. Kerala's health ministry has informed in this regard on Sunday. On the other hand, out of 19 cases of Omicron found in Kerala, 11 have been registered in Ernakulam, 6 in Thiruvananthapuram and one each from Thrissur and Kannur. Many of them have a history of travelling abroad. In Delhi, night curfew has also been imposed in view of corona virus and Omicron cases.
