A piece of very bad news is coming out for the boxing fans, according to which Armenian boxer Arrest Sahakyan has lost the battle of life in the hospital. On 26 December last year, he fainted in the ring in a fight against Igor Semarin after suffering a head injury. He went into a coma due to serious injuries. Ten days after the incident, that is, on Friday, he tragically passed away. In the eighth round of that fight, the opposition hit a forceful right from the right, leaving Sahakyan on the canvas. After this, the 26-year-old fighter was taken straight from the ring to the hospital. According to Russian media, Sahakyan suffered a serious head injury as a result of Semarin's shot and required emergency surgery. Despite many efforts, he could not be saved. A relative of Sahakyan posted on Instagram, 'How do I live... our soul,... our happiness... my heart is broken. I can't believe it; It's like something out of a nightmare. We loved you very much. You were the sweetest, happiest, best and truest person I have ever met.' Sahkyan's funeral will take place on Tuesday in Tolyatti, Russia, close to the Kazakhstan border. On the other hand, his body will be buried in Armenia, where he was born. During his professional career, Sahkyan has won six of his nine bouts. All these fights took place in the Super Middleweight Division. He won the first four fights of his career, all of which took hold in Thailand.
