Shreyas Talpade, who showed his strong style in Marathi world, has been in the headlines again these days. The first character played by Shreyas was Sita's role in a school play Ramayana. Next year he played the role of Draupadi in the school version of Mahabharata. While recalling his old days recently, Shreyas interacted with a website and said, "From 1990 to 2005 I did more than 2500 shows of various productions on the professional stage. Hindi, Marathi, English, Urdu plays gave me a lot of passion and I did not want to miss a single opportunity to do them. Whatever I am today is because of the theatre. The theatre brings more refinement to your craft than any other medium. Today Whatever little praise I get in my films is all because of the theater. " Shreyas came from theatre to television and then to films. Meanwhile, among his other work commitments, Shreyas was keen to return to the stage with Zee Theater's teleplay 'Typecast'. and this teleplay is available on Tata Sky and Airtel Digital TV Spotlight. Atul Mathur, Aditi Pohankar and Utkarsh Majumdar will be seen in the lead roles. Recently Shreyas said, "I personally like this format of teleplay and that's why I accepted to 'typecast'. I think that teleplay is a great experiment, where we have the well-known 'Fourth Wall' Free of charge. It was almost like shooting a film within a studio. It has been very challenging but I think these formats need to be explored more. I am happy that 'Typecast' is being released on so many platforms and praised. " The typecast is an adaptation of the famous playwright Vijay Tendulkar's Marathi drama 'Pahije Jatiche' and this drama is the story of seventies when the caste system was not only prevalent in India but also strictly enforced.
