Japanese carmaker Nissan has recently taken a big decision and announced to lay off 9,000 employees. According to news agency AFP, Nissan has also reduced its sales forecast for the financial year 2024-25. This decision of the company will affect its global production, which may see a reduction of up to 20 percent.

Nissan's change of strategy

Nissan's chief executive officer said that the company's net profit in the North American market has fallen by 93% in the first six months of this year. The company is now expecting net sales of 12.7 trillion yen (about 80 billion dollars), which is much less than the previously estimated 14 trillion yen. Nissan also said in its statement that it is currently facing a serious situation and is trying to quickly adapt to the changes taking place in the market.

Nissan Magnite facelift launched in India

Nissan has recently launched its new car, Magnite Facelift in the Indian market. This car comes with a modern and dynamic design and the company has introduced it in a new "Sunrise Copper Orange" color. A total of 13 color options are now available in this facelift version. Apart from this, Nissan has also added a cluster ionizer in the Magnite facelift, which helps in keeping the air inside the car clean.

Magnite Facelift Price and Engine

There has been no change in the powertrain in the new model of Magnite Facelift. It has a 1.0-liter turbo engine that gives a mileage of 20 kmpl with manual transmission and 17.4 kmpl with CVT automatic transmission. The special thing is that despite so many updates, Nissan has not changed the price of Magnite Facelift. The ex-showroom price of this car starts at Rs 5.99 lakh. This move of Nissan reflects its financial condition and its effort to survive in the changing market. At the same time, with the launch of Nissan Magnite Facelift, the company is trying to strengthen its hold in the Indian market.
