According to NCRB data, there has been a 17 percent increase in rape cases in Jharkhand in 2021 as compared to 2020. In the same year 2020, where 1368 cases of rape were reported, in 2021 this number increased to 1671. After this the process of rape is not stopping in the state. Now there has been an incident of gang-rape with a minor girl in Chanho police station area of the capital Ranchi. The minor is a student of 8th standard. The student was first called by phone and then taken to a secluded place and gang-raped.
