Mumbai: After the Supreme Court's decision regarding the Eknath Shinde government of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray's hopes of becoming the CM have been dashed. Actually, Uddhav hoped that the Supreme Court would restore his Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, but it could not happen. Since then, Uddhav has been continuously demanding the resignation of CM Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. For this, Uddhav is even citing morality, and saying that both the leaders should resign in the name of morality. But, it seems that despite being in alliance with Congress-NCP, Uddhav is left alone in this fight. Now senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar has also distanced himself from Uddhav Thackeray. According to reports, veteran leader of Uddhav's ally NCP Ajit Pawar today said on Friday (May 12) that there is no need to seek resignation from CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. Ajit Pawar gave this answer to the question of Uddhav Thackeray demanding the resignation of both the leaders. Let us tell you that, even before the decision of the Supreme Court, Ajit Pawar contradicted the statements of Uddhav and Sanjay Raut and said that there is no threat to the Eknath Shinde government. At the same time, now in the meantime the statement of Uddhav Thackeray has also come to the fore. The former CM has said that now the assembly speaker should immediately decide on the disqualification of 16 MLAs including Eknath Shinde. He said that we expect Speaker Rahul Narvekar to take a fair decision. In fact, the Supreme Court's verdict on Thursday (May 11) had reasons to be happy for both the Eknath Shinde government and Uddhav Thackeray. On the one hand, the Supreme Court termed Uddhav Thackeray's resignation as a mistake and said that he himself left the post, so his government cannot be restored. In this way the Shinde government got a legal lifeline. At the same time, the apex court had also said that in case of internal discord in the party, the governor should not bring a motion of confidence. It was unfair to do so. The Uddhav Thackeray camp is calling this comment of the top court on the Governor's decision its victory.
