Gandhinagar:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that the nation is developing new prospects in line with the demands of the twenty-first century and that the new National Education Policy was created with these factors in mind.

The Prime Minister stated at the 29th Biennial Conference of the All India Primary Teachers' Federation, Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sangh Adhiveshan, that lakhs of teachers have contributed to the creation of the National Education Policy.

Speaking to the audience, he said that his encounters with teachers had aided the government in developing national policy.
"Our educational system is changing, and both teachers and students are changing as well. How we move ahead during this transformational moment is crucial... My interactions with teachers have aided in the development of national policy, he claimed.

This time, the National Education Policy was created with the help of thousands of teachers. "Today, India is creating new opportunities in accordance with the needs of the 21st century, and the new National Education Policy was made keeping this in mind," he continued.

'Teachers are at the Heart of Transforming Education' is the conference's theme.

The Prime Minister will launch and lay the cornerstone for several projects totaling about Rs. 4400 crores during his one-day trip to Gujarat.
