Heavy rains will occur in this state for the next two days, IMD issued alert

New Delhi: The weather is expected to remain bad in some parts of the country for the next two days. Heavy to moderate rains are expected in Kerala in the next two days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a rain alert for the next few hours at one or two places in different parts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department,  rain is expected in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Malappuram districts.

In view of heavy rains, the Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert in Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Malappuram for Sunday. According to the Imd's forecast for seven days, Thiruvananthapuram is likely to witness a generally cloudy sky till December 17 with rain or thundershowers at a few places. At the same time, the minimum temperature this week is expected to fall to 22 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to be 31 degrees Celsius.

At the same time, the impact of the 'Mandous' storm passing through the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu is also being seen in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru and surrounding districts. Light to moderate rain and cloudy skies have been forecast in these areas till Sunday. Bengaluru city has been receiving light to moderate rainfall since Saturday morning.
