Patna: Monsoon is currently at its peak in Bihar. On Friday, the Meteorological Department issued a warning of heavy rains in 12 cities including Muzaffarpur, Motihari, Gopalganj, Bettiah, and Kishanganj. Also, a thunderstorm alert has been issued in 25 districts of north and south Bihar, including Patna. People have been instructed to be careful. According to Patna Meteorological Centre, heavy rains may occur in some areas of East Champaran, West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Siwan, Gopalganj, Supaul, Araria and Kishanganj districts on Friday. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of falling in some places in 25 districts. These include East Champaran, West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Gaya, Jehanabad, Patna, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Kaimur, Buxar, Bhojpur, Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Siwan, Gopalganj and Sheohar districts. On Friday morning, the Meteorological Department also issued another immediate yellow alert. They have predicted heavy rains with thundershowers in some parts of Darbhanga, Motihari, Gopalganj, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Saharsa, Chhapra, Sheohar, Sitamarhi and Siwan in the morning. On Thursday, many parts of the state, including the capital Patna, received good rainfall. This made the faces of the farmers suffering from drought bloom. Darbhanga recorded the highest rainfall of 96 mm. Apart from this, heavy water fell in East Champaran, Katihar and other areas. The Meteorological Department has predicted good rainfall in the state for the next one week.
