New Delhi: On the third day of the winter session Wednesday, December 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with senior ministers in Parliament to deliberate strategy for the coming months. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi were among those who attended the meeting. The meeting takes place at a time when opposition leaders are protesting in the Rajya Sabha, demanding that the suspension of 12 opposition MPs be lifted. On Monday, the Parliament's winter session began. The Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021 was passed by both Houses of Parliament on the first day of the session. The opposition parties, on the other hand, raised a commotion, claiming that the administration approved the Bill without a floor debate. PM Modi met with ministers earlier on Tuesday to outline the approach. The Opposition leaders staged demonstrations and walkouts on the second day of the session against the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha MPs. On December 23, the winter session is expected to end.
