Company giving one year leave and 11 lakh rupees on having third child, employees swing happily

China officially abolished its one-child policy in 2016. This policy was launched in 1980 to control the population of the country. Meanwhile, the neighbouring country introduced a 3-child policy in May 2021, which is now encouraging its people to have more children.

Recently, there were reports that a Chinese company is now giving incentives to employees who have given birth to a third child. According to reports, Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group is giving a cash bonus of 90,000 yuan for giving birth to a third child, which is about Rs 11.50 lakh. In addition to the cash bonus, the company is giving one year of leave to female employees and 9 months' leave to male employees.

The report also said that the employees who give birth to their second child are entitled to a bonus of 60,000 yuan, which is around Rs 7 lakh and if anyone gives birth to their first child, they will get a bonus of 30,000 yuan, which is more than Rs 3.50 lakh. Significantly, the one-child policy has reportedly resulted in a change in the sex ratio. China has faced population inequality and the proportion of the elderly population has also increased.
