Detector app to be launched for Android users, find out what's special

Apple Inc has introduced the privacy app Tracker Detect for Android users. The company said on Monday that the Android app will help users scan nearby airtags, as well as locket the tracker while playing 10 minutes of sound. The Tracker Detect app, which has been released on the google play store, says users will be able to scan to try to find Airtags or a competitive device if they think someone is using it to track their location. AirTags are small devices that are going to be connected to things like keys and purses that will detect them if they are lost.

Apple has said that the app enables Android users to actively scan for item trackers that their owner no longer has. If such a tracker has been roaming with the user for more than 10 minutes, the app is going to help detect it by playing sound and helping to show how to disable it.

'We are increasing the bar on privacy for our users and the industry, and hope the rest of the people are going to follow it,' an Apple spokesperson said in a statement.

With the new Tracker Detect app, Apple is giving Android subscriber more power to find nearby air tags without waiting for automatic alerts.  Not only that, tracker detection is now available on the Play Store and any tracker associated with Apple's Find My Network (Find My Network) can be detected.
