New Delhi: A warning issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) against anti-India activities and propaganda of Khalistani extremists around the world is going viral on social media platforms. However, this letter is going viral on social media. People involved in the case reported in this regard on Tuesday. Officials said no such letter has been issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

In fact, the letter going viral was said to have been allegedly released by the Ministry of External Affairs on November 8. The fake letter was then shared fiercely on social media by users. The alleged letter talked about measures to combat the threat posed by Sikh extremists. Security agencies suspect Pakistan to be involved in making letters. In fact, during the Farmer's movement, Pakistan was trying to take advantage of the opportunity through pro-Khalistan elements. Last month, media reports reported that an intelligence input had come that the banned terror group Sikh for Justice (SFJ) could cordon off the Parliament House and hoist the Khalistan flag on it. An alert was then issued in this regard. Intelligence agencies have asked officials, including Delhi Police, to remain alert and make elaborate security arrangements around Parliament.

In fact, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu of SFJ released a video on YouTube calling upon farmers to cordon it off and hoist the Khalistan flag during the winter session of Parliament. Pannu had announced in the video that the one who hoisted the Khalistan flag on Parliament would receive a $1,25,000 reward. In October, the UK-based SFJ organized a so-called referendum to determine whether Khalistan should be separated from Punjab.
