AHMEDABAD: AAP's Surat East candidate in Gujarat, Kanchan Jariwala, on Wednesday withdrew his nomination. On this, he said that there is no pressure on him and he has withdrawn the nomination of his own will. At the same time, AAP made serious allegations against BJP like kidnapping Jariwala and his family. Delhi's Deputy CM Manish Sisodia lashed out at the BJP on this whole incident while talking to the media. After giving a complaint to the Election Commission, Manish Sisodia said that the Aam Aadmi Party has brought the facts of the entire matter to the notice of the Election Commission, after which AAP's Surat East candidate Kanchan Jariwala filed his nomination yesterday. Opposing the BJP, he had also reached for scrutiny. The BJP was constantly pressurizing Kanchan Jariwala to withdraw his nomination. He alleged that when Jariwala came out of the RO office, the BJP men made him sit in their car and took him to some unknown place. Since then Kanchan Jariwala was continuously missing. He further said that AAP was continuously searching for him for 24 hours. Neither his whereabouts were known nor his family members. When we came to know that there was a mess, then in the morning we contacted the Election Commission in Gujarat. But till noon we saw that the policemen took Kanchan Jariwala to the RO office, where his nomination is withdrawn and the BJP people push him and take him back in their car. Manish Sisodia claimed that even till this evening, AAP leaders have not been able to contact Kanchan Jariwala and his family. Asking the question, Manish Sisodia said that we have approached the Election Commission because there is a threat to the life of the candidate. With all, If the goons of BJP threaten to get the nominations withdrawn in the election process and instead of alleging kidnapping, the police will fully support them, then what is the meaning of the election? Attacking BJP, Manish Sisodia said that BJP is losing badly in Gujarat. When all the gimmicks did not work, the candidates are being kidnapped by the BJP. Does BJP want to win such elections? AAP has demanded the Central Election Commission to investigate the whole matter.
