Guwahati: Assam's Himanta Biswa government has categorically said that it is not mandatory for the people of the state to get covid vaccination against corona virus infection, but those who are not willing to get corona vaccine should stay at home. This was stated by state CM Himanta Biswa Sharma while addressing a press conference in Guwahati. He said in a press conference, 'People who don't want to get the corona vaccine done. They will not be allowed to enter offices, restaurants and attend meetings,' Sarma added, 'Those who do not want vaccination can stay at home. In Assam, the Covid-19 vaccination certificate has to be shown if required, because we cannot allow anti-people activities to take place.' Last week, the Assam CM had said that people who have not been administered both doses of the vaccine. They will not be allowed to enter public places from January 16. More than 40 million doses of vaccine have been given to eligible beneficiaries in Assam so far, out of which 2,03,392 doses have been given on Monday.
