Through excise policy, Kejriwal government gave the benefit of crores to the liquor mafia?

New Delhi: The difficulties of the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi seem to be increasing. Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinay Kumar Saxena has recommended a CBI probe against the new excise policy. In fact, there are allegations against the Kejriwal government that they have given undue advantage to liquor licensees through the new excise policy.

It is being told that Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has asked for a CBI inquiry after the chief secretary's report. The report said that tenders were awarded in the new excise policy ignoring the rules. The report also raises questions on the role of Manish Sisodia. In fact, Delhi's excise department is under Manish Sisodia. The report says that through this policy, the license fee has been waived on the pretext of the corona. Liquor traders have been given a concession of Rs 144.36 crore in the tender. Not only this, on the excise policy, the LG has recommended a CBI probe and accused the Kejriwal government of providing 144 crore benefits to the liquor mafia on the pretext of the corona.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha MP Gautam Gambhir has attacked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the issue. "It is heard that action is also going to be taken against the minister who is doing liquor business in Delhi! One minister is already in jail, the other is ready too!''
