The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has fielded Arpita Ghosh, Mossim Noor, Dinesh Trivedi and Subrata Bakshi for the Rajya Sabha elections 2020 in West Bengal. According to media reports, Trinamool Congress has prepared for the Rajya Sabha elections. The nomination process for five Rajya Sabha seats has started with the notification on Friday. However, there was no nomination on the first day. The Trinamool's victory in four of these five seats is certain, but the TMC does not have enough MLAs for the fifth seat. But, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is also eyeing the fifth seat. That is why the Trinamool leadership is also preparing to field candidates for the fifth seat, for which they need six-seven votes. The manipulation of the necessary votes has been started by the Trinamool. The notification of Rajya Sabha election reached the assembly on Friday. Now the Trinamool Congress will take the nomination papers for its candidates from the Assembly. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee has discussed in detail about his strength of winning the Rajya Sabha candidates. According to sources, the party has been instructed to take five nomination papers. In such a situation, the question is arising that in the end, is the Trinamool also preparing to field candidates in the fifth seat? Because, the joint candidate of CPI (M) and Congress is preparing to field the fifth seat and almost the name of CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury has been finalized. If the Trinamool also takes its candidate on that seat, then the voting will take place. Otherwise, all five seats will be declared unopposed.
