Kolkata: Since the Trinamool Congress (TMC) victory in West Bengal, its goons have been playing such a "murderer" that the BJP has even gone far, even the Congress and the Left. Several houses of BJP workers have been destroyed and ransacked in that village. Das's house has also been attacked. TMC goons surrounded his house, leaving him and his family under house arrest. Crude bombs have also been thrown at his house. Anand Ranganathan has said that he is surrounded in his house amidst the bombing. He has since sought assistance from the Union Home Ministry, which was taken cognizance of and action assured. Anand Ranganathan, Home Ministry has approached Gobardhan Das and said that CRPF will reach his village soon. Gobardhan Das is a professor in molecular medicine in JNU. He is also working as an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Genomic Medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital in the US. He was fielded by the BJP this time.
