TN CM asks all MLAs to list 10 long-pending works to be taken up right away

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK  Stalin on Tuesday, August 23 sought all the 234 legislators in the state to list ten long-pending works in their constituencies and send the lists to the respective district Collectors without further day.

The essential demands would be determined from these lists and would be given priority, he wrote in a letter to the MLAs, instructing them to send the lists to the district Collectors within 15 days.

The press announcement reported  Stalin as saying, "I expect long-pending confidence that the people in the Assembly constituencies will be satisfied under this pioneering initiative. He also requested their assistance in this respect and expressed his confidence that social and economic divisions among districts could be overcome to make the State the top dog. In the State Legislative Assembly, 234 representatives from 38 districts in Tamil Nadu represent their respective Assembly constituencies.

Stalin said that the legislature's unmet long-standing requests included work on improving agriculture productivity, roads and bridges, drinking water issues, water resources and related infrastructure, medical and educational institutions and related infrastructure, and libraries.  He also asked the legislators to give bus terminus as their top priority.

The statement claims that the Chief Minister stated in the letter that this action will satisfy the people's long-standing aspirations. In order to make Tamil Nadu the top state in the nation, he also asked the legislators to work together to address the social and economic divides across the districts.
