CHENNAI: Udayanidhi Stalin, the DMK youth wing secretary and a member of the Legislative Assembly, has remarked that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is a nightmare for the BJP in the state. In response to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's speech in Parliament, Udayanidhi stated that the BJP will not be able to get a foothold in Tamil Nadu. On Thursday, the DMK youth wing head, who is also the son of Chief Minister Stalin, was campaigning for the party's candidates in the Thanjavur district's Kallukulam and East gate regions. He urged party cadres and sympathisers to fight tirelessly to ensure the success of party candidates and allies in the upcoming urban local body elections on February 19. According to the DMK youth head, party cadres and sympathisers would conduct a door-to-door campaign to ensure that party candidates and allies win. He said that the DMK government had fulfilled numerous promises made during assembly elections in just eight months since taking office in May 2021, and urged cadres and party workers to relay this message to the people of the wards. Udayanidhi Stalin enumerated the DMK government's pledges, which included a Covid -19 lockdown aid payment of Rs 4000 per family, free bus fare concessions for women, lower petrol and milk prices, a doorstep medical treatment scheme, and one lakh electrical connections for agriculture.
