Chennai: The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin, honoured the women police officer E. Rajeswari on Friday for saving a man during the Chennai rains. In the presence of senior state police officers, Stalin honoured Rajeswari at his camp office. He expressed his gratitude in a message, saying that she had recognised the importance of the 'golden hour' and had hurried Udhaykumar to the hospital. The Chief Minister praised the officer's sense of commitment and compassion, as well as her action in rescuing several people during a stampede in Mahamaham, Kumbakonam, in 1992.
