Tokyo Olympics Hockey: India defeats Spain 3-0, Rupinder Pal Singh shines as a star

Tokyo Olympics 2020: At the Olympics games after winning a Silver still hopes are alive. Here recently the Indian men?s hockey team defeated Spain 3-0 to record its second win at the Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday. Drubbed 1-7 by Australia in their last match, India presented a vivacious play against world No.9 Spain and scored by Simranjeet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh to record an easy win in their third Pool A match at the OI Hockey Stadium.

 

Let us tell you that India had earlier defeated New Zealand 3-2 in their opening fixture. Spain, on the other hand, is yet to register a win in the competition. Spain drew 1-1 against Argentina before losing 3-4 to New Zealand.

India, which will face Argentina next on Thursday, had defeated New Zealand 3-2 in its opening fixture at Tokyo 2020, while Spain is yet to register a win in the competition in three matches. The top four teams from each of the two six-member groups will advance to the quarterfinals.
