Number of corona cases one lakh mark in Odisha, 482 deaths so far

Bhubaneshwar: With the arrival of 3,014 new patients of corona infection in Odisha, the figure of corona infects in the state has reached 1,00,934 on Sunday. The Health Department has reported this. According to the Health Department official, twelve more infected people have died during this period, which together, 482 people have lost their lives in this infection.

He further informed that out of thirty districts of Odisha, new cases of virus have been reported in 29 districts. The officer said that out of 3,014 new cases reported in the state, 1,868 were infected in various isolated habitations while 1,146 people have been infected due to Corona patients contact. The state Health and Family Welfare Department tweeted, "We are sorry to report the death of 12 corona patients during treatment in the hospital." "4 of the dead are patients of Ganjam District, while 1 patient died in Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Puri, Rayagada and Surendragarh."

According to the officer, among the dead are the police constables posted under the protection of MLA Anant Narayan Jena from Bhubaneswar Central Assembly seat. Khurda has the highest number of 684 new cases of corona infection. Apart from this, 337 in Cuttack, 292 in Mayurbhanj, 216 in Ganjam, 138 in Balasore, 124 in Bargarh, 120 in Koraput, 118 in Puri, 104 in Rayagada and 102 in Sambalpur have been confirmed to have coronavirus. The remaining cases belong to the other 19 districts. In Odisha, 29,685 patients are being treated while 70,714 people have become healthy. The officer said that so far 17,31,556 samples have been investigated in the state, out of which 60,646 samples were tested on Saturday.
