Tragic Incident in Bihar: Mohammad Iddu Mian Commits Suicide After Killing Family

Patna: In a heartbreaking turn of events, Mohammad Iddu Mian Ansari from the Motihari district in Bihar took his own life after brutally murdering his wife and children with a sharp weapon.

The grim discovery came a day later when Ansari's body was found severed into two parts on a railway track, with his head and torso found at different locations along the track. Railway police recovered the body near the Sugauli railway station.

Ansari's violent spree began when he took the lives of his wife, four daughters, and brother-in-law. He committed the heinous act on Thursday while out on bail, with records showing his prior imprisonment four years ago for the murder of his daughter from his first wife.

The horrifying incident unfolded late Thursday night in Babaria village of Paharpur police station area, where Ansari ruthlessly stabbed his wife, Afrina Khatoon, and three daughters in their sleep.

The victims were identified as Reshma Khatun (47), Awrula (12), Shabnam (10), and Shahzadi (9).

Following the murders, Ansari fled the scene, prompting a swift police response. Forensic teams and canine units were summoned to the scene, and an intensive manhunt was launched to apprehend the perpetrator.

In a turn of events, Motihari Superintendent of Police Kantesh Mishra announced a reward of Rs 15,000 for information leading to Ansari's arrest. However, Ansari's lifeless body was later discovered near the Sugauli railway station, under the wheels of the Danapur Sugauli Intercity train number 15516.

Ansari, a daily wage laborer who had been married twice, had a tumultuous past marked by violence. He had previously been jailed for the murder of his daughter from his first marriage and was out on bail at the time of the latest tragedy. Reports indicate that he had also taken the life of his brother-in-law.

The community is left reeling from the shocking incident, grappling with the aftermath of senseless violence that has shattered multiple lives.
