Bangalore: A tragic accident occurred near Tumakuru, about 70 km from Karnataka's capital Bangalore. Nine people died in a road accident here on Thursday morning. Earlier in August, six members of a family died in a road accident near Arakera village under Gurmeetkal taluk in the northeastern part of Karnataka. The dead included two women and a six-month-old infant. On May 24, eight people died when a bus collided with a truck on the Pune-Bengaluru national highway in Hubballi. 28 people were injured in the incident.
