Tragic Suicide of Doctor Couple in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar District

Sagar: A tragic incident unfolded in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district as a doctor couple, identified as Balbir and Manju Kaithoria, allegedly died by suicide at their residence in Bina town. The couple's son, who was away for studies, made the grim discovery upon his return. Balbir was found hanging from the ceiling fan, while Manju's lifeless body was on the bed. The initial assessment suggests that Manju might have consumed or injected herself with a poisonous substance, as indicated by the police.

The couple, both doctors affiliated with the state health department, left behind a suicide note expressing their distress over an outstanding debt. The note was discovered in the room where the tragic incident occurred. Balbir served at the community health centre in Kurwai, while Manju worked as a gynecologist at Bina Civil Hospital. The revelation of financial concerns and the mention of outstanding debt in the suicide note shed light on a possible motive behind their extreme step.

The police have registered a case in connection with the incident, and further investigations are ongoing. The deaths of the doctor couple underscore the challenges and mental health issues faced by individuals, even in esteemed professions, and bring attention to the importance of addressing such concerns within the community.
